A short film following a northern Minnesotan woman as she pushes her limits and takes on the iconic winter ultra marathon, Arrowhead 135. Facing a dismal first time finish rate of only 35 percent, Gretchen is hanging on to the vision of the finish line in her memory from years past.

Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 19, her motivation to run is grounded in her determination to prove to her daughter, who also has Type 1, that their disease does not define them.
